Remove template and inspection access #
What is template and inspection access? #
What you'll need #
- eAuditor Premium Plan or Enterprise Plan
- Web app or mobile app
- Full seat
- "Conduct, edit" template access level at a minimum
- If you have the "Conduct, edit" access level over a template, you can only remove access from groups or users who have the same access level as you or lower.
- For the best experience, we recommend editing access rules via the web app.
Remove an access rule #
1. Log in to the web app.
2. Select Templates iconTemplates from the menu on the left-hand side.
3. Click the template and select Manage access in the side panel.
4. In the access builder, click Edit rules.
5. Click Delete icon on the right-hand side of the access rule you want to remove.
6. Click Save and apply.
7. In the pop-up window, select the following:
- No, apply to future only to apply the updated access settings to future inspections.
- Yes, apply to all to apply the updated access settings to existing inspections as well. Please note that the “Yes, apply to all” option overrides existing inspections’ access based on the updated access rules. Learn more about retroactively providing inspection access.
1. Open the mobile app.
2. Tap Inspections icon mobileInspections at the bottom of your screen.
3. Select the TEMPLATES tab at the top of your screen.
4. Tap the template and select Eye icon reference Manage access from the pop-up options.
5. Tap Expand more icon on the right-hand side and select Remove Access.

3. Select the Templates tab at the top of your screen.
4. Tap the template and select Manage access iconManage access from the pop-up options.
5. Select the group or user.
6. Under the “TEMPLATE AVAILABLE TO” section, tap the group or user and select Remove access.
Remove access to an inspection #
1. Log in to the web app.
2. Select Inspections icon mobileInspections from the menu on the left-hand side.
3. Click the inspection and click Link iconShare in the side panel.
4. In the pop-up window, click the group or user’s access level and select Delete iconDelete access.
1. Open the mobile app.
2. Tap Inspections icon mobileInspections at the bottom of your screen.
3. Select the IN PROGRESS & COMPLETE tab at the top of your screen.
4. Tap the inspection and select Eye icon referenceManage access from the pop-up options.
5. Tap Expand more icon on the group or user’s right-hand side and select Remove Access.
Removing inspection access isn’t currently supported on the eAuditor mobile app for iOS. Please remove inspection access via the web app.
