Crane Inspection

1. Open the App

Open eAuditor on your phone or tablet.


2. Create the Template

  • Go to Templates.

  • Tap Create Template.

  • Choose Blank Template.


3. Add Sections

Basic Information
Add fields for:

  • Crane ID or number

  • Location

  • Date

  • Inspector name

Check the overall condition:

  • Warning signs are clear.


Controls and Operation

Check lifting parts:

  • The hook is not bent or cracked.

  • The safety latch works well.

  • The hoist runs smoothly.


Wire Ropes or Chains

Inspect cables or chains:

  • No frayed wires appear.

  • Chains are not worn or damaged.

  • Proper tension is maintained.


Overhead Crane Inspection – Safety Devices

  • Limit switches function correctly.

  • Alarms and signals operate properly.


Work Area Safety

Check the surrounding area:

  • The area is clear of obstacles.

Photos

Add photos in eAuditor to record issues or good condition.


Comments

Write notes about defects or repairs needed.


Signatures

Collect the inspector’s signature to confirm the inspection.


Crane Pre Use

4. Complete the Overhead Crane Inspection

Open the template in eAuditor during the inspection.
Check each item and record the results.


5. Save the Record

Tap Complete Inspection.
Export the report as a PDF.
Save the file as an inspection record.
